Trustee Training Event 13th November 9.30am – 11.30am by Zoom

13 November @ 9:30 am - 11:30 am

The Trustee role is the most important in the governance structure of the employee owned business. The Trustees underpin the commitment to the employees as owners, and serve as custodians of the business for the long-term. Yet, it is a role often misunderstood by both senior executives and fellow employee owners. As we won’t be running our popular 2 day course this year, we’re trialling a Zoom webinar as a way to respond to requests for training and support.  As this first event is a trial, there will be no charge. In return, we would hope that participants provide feedback .

This 2 hour webinar will cover:

Overview of Employee Ownership Model Brief overview of EO structure, governance, role and relationship of board and directors, fiduciary duties and legal requirements.

Legal responsibilities of the Trustee Duties and responsibilities, explanation of key documents

Requirements of Trustee role Discharging responsibilities, managing expectations,

Delivering the Trust purpose Exploration of “interests of beneficiaries” and the Trustee role in stewardship of the company

Trustee Challenges Discussion on real life dilemmas faced by employee owned companies where Trustees had to make important decisions or take corrective action.
