At Ownership Associates we are often asked to find dynamic people to join employee owned companies in a number of senior positions including management, independent trustees and non exec directors. An Independent Trustee is a useful addition to the Trust Board, providing neutral input and helping trustees assess board performance with a detached view. We are looking to add to our pool of Trustees and are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who meet the following criteria:

Direct experience of working within an employee-owned business Understanding of corporate governance Experience of chairing and running meetings Ability to exercise sound judgement

We would expect all prospective independent Trustees to have attended one of our programmes.

Ownership Associates is currently working with a successful, entrepreneurial business at an early stage of its journey in employee ownership. The company has an excellent reputation, an expert, loyal workforce and a young, competent management team.  This is a sales and service company operating in an IT environment.  

As part of the exit strategy for the current owner, the company is looking to appoint an ambitious, experienced managing director who will work in tandem with the MD, with a view to taking over the helm of the business within the next 12 months.   

The successful candidate will have a track record in senior leadership, preferably at board level, a commitment to quality and customer service and be able to demonstrate the ability to develop the potential in what is an exciting sector.  This isn’t a sit back and observe role;  you will be expected to lead by example, developing and building strong customer relationships and winning new business for the firm.
